dancing and singing sector
For 2 weeks you could hear polish music and see polish dancers performing at their best. Artists from “Państwowe Policealne Studium Zawodowe Wokalno-Baletowe” came to Sicily under the Leonardo da Vinci Mobility Programme to participate in the project in the field of the dancing and singing, thereby they gained experience in their field of studies and become acquainted with the traditional Italian and Sicilian techniques. They not only enjoyed the sunny Sicilian weather and beautiful views, but also worked hard to excel during their performances at various festivals like Espressivamente and workshops organized by the Associazione Artistica Culturale “A Rocca” international department EProjectConsult.
During their stay, they did the sightseeing of the Sicily region beginning with the Milazzo city, Taormina , Savoca, Aeolian Islands (Lipari and Volcano), Jalari Park Museum and finishing with the beautiful Cefalù and Petralia.
The group had also the opportunity to represent its native country’s customs in front of a big audience during several public events:
- Festa dei Popoli in Cannistrà 12/08/14 located in the countryside surroundings, near Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto.
- Espressivamente Street Art Festival organized from the “Jalari” Cultural Association 18-19/08/14 http://www.parcojalari.com/index.php?lang=en a professional organization, which promotes the local culture. ,”Jalari” organises annual events like the film festival “Jalari in Corto”, an annual gathering of Artistic Expression “atmospheres … Music … Art in the street” (EspressivaMente) and many other concerts, fairs and exhibitions. “Jalari” Cultural Association offered the training experience focusing on social and entertaining activities with foreign people, mainly immigrants. Methodologies focused on facilitating their daily life and their integration in the society.
- Festa del Gelato (The Ice Cream Festival) 21/08/14 in Terme Vigliatore, situated not far from the Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto.
- Jazz Festival 22/08/14 in Petralia (Palermo province) , positioned in a small village in the Madonie mountains.
In addition to everything mentioned above, the performers had an exclusive opportunity to participate in the debate with Roberta Macrì. By organizing such debate, international department EProjectConsult wanted to connect the project to the real life, to show, that there is nothing impossible to those who are trying. The debate not only made everyone think about priorities in life, but also presented how strong the person with the passion is. Sadly it is time to say goodbye, but we really hope that they enjoyed their stay, the fascinating Italian music and they return someday! Goodbye guys!
