Hello, everybody!
Soon my half-a-year internship is going to end so it is time to tell you what I’ve experienced during the time.
First of all, it is really difficult to leave this place during summer, in particular when you are from Estonia. All the warm days and nights, the magical views at the beach, the palm tree alleys inside the city.. driving by the coastline with my friends during a sunset, listening to summery italian music and seeing the eolian islands from afar – I could not ask for anything more, it is really like in a movie and it is crazy to imagine that for some people it is their everyday life. Sicily really stole my heart with the time and I don’t mean only my hometown but also all the other amazing places I visited while being here – Cefalu, Palermo, Taormina, Siracusa and many others.
But of course – it was not only a vacation. During my time here I developed new partnerships between my organization and Estonian vocational schools, I helped to implement different KA1 projects by helping students before their arrival with all the details, also preparing learning agreements and on their arrival, for example, doing the city tours to show them around. Furthermore, I worked with KA2 projects where I was engaged more with creating the content for applying or running projects. Besides the projects, I also did many blogposts and renewed different documents. So, in conclusion, I have been engaged with all kind of tasks and I’m happy for that because I learned as much as it was possible.
So, not only am I leaving this place with new professional knowledge and network, I found amazing friends who have helped me like they were my own family, I collected so many funny, amazing, AWESOME memories from places that take your breath away and most importantly I got to know myself much better and grew as a person in situations I would have not met at home.
Totally worth it!
