Health care

Final project report

The team of the Associazione Art. Cult. “A Rocca and Eprojectconsult International department hosted a group from Vänersborg, Sweden, in the frame of Erasmus+ programme. We hosted 4 selected participants during the project named WEDING. The internships were in the field of health care.  The internships were located in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto and San Filippo del Mela.

Cultural Programme

In the free time, they had chance to visit some beautiful places in Sicily, including Etna and Taormina. They also got acquainted with the famous Italian cuisine thanks to the local restaurants. We hope that their experience of living abroad was unforgettable and enriching in the cultural way.

General Skills and Competencies Acquired:

The participants gained experience in their field of studies and become acquainted with the traditional Italian and Sicilian way of labour. They gained knowledge about mental disabilities and illnesses and learned to use this knowledge in practice. They participated in the different steps related to the care process and learned to communicate respectfully and sensitively with clients and their families/close friends. The participants also acknowledged that the development of these intimate relations with different actors can contribute to the patience’s recovery in a positive way. Overall the participants took part in the everyday work and recovery of the patients/residents and learned to interact in an international environment and improve their foreign language skills.

At the end of the project, participants received “A Rocca” placement certificate” and EUROPASS.

Most importantly the participants gained professional experience in their sector, so that they will be more competitive in the labor market in Sweden.

Consequently, the participants seemed to be satisfied with this project, and from their evaluations it is clear that they feel it was an interesting and useful experience. We are satisfied with the seemingly flawless success of the project and hope that we can continue our cooperation.
