Erasmus+ Internship
Cooking sector
The team of the Associazione Art. Cult. “A Rocca” and EProjectConsult International department hosted a group from Myślibórz, Poland, in the frame of Erasmus+ programme. We hosted 11 selected participants during the project named “Nauka bez granic”. The internship were in the field of cooking. The participants gained experience in their field of studies and become acquainted with the traditional Italian and Sicilian way of labour.
Cultural Programme
In the free time the participants had chance to visit some beautiful places in Sicily, including Etna, Taormina, Palermo and Cefalù. They also got acquainted with the famous Italian cuisine thanks to the local restaurants. We hope that their experience of living abroad was unforgettable and enriching in many different ways.

The participants obtained information and gained experience from all the relevant sources in the field of cooking. They learned to interact in an international working environment and broadened their understanding of different culinary cultures. The participants also learned to maintain a safe and hygienic work space by following environmental and health protecting standards. They got acquainted with the importance of work preparations and executed preparatory work for effective service together with other tasks assigned to them by the chefs. They also got to improve their foreign language skills by interacting with customers and colleagues.
General Skills and Competencies Acquired:
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources in the field related;
- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships: learning on developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others;
- Development of specialized Italian language skills;
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;
- Developing social perspectives and being aware of reactions of other co-workers and supervisors;
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made.

At the end of the project, participants received “A Rocca” placement certificate” and EUROPASS. Most importantly the participants gained professional experience in their sector, so that they will be more competitive in the labor market in Poland.
Consequently, the participants seemed to be satisfied with this project, and from their evaluations it is clear that they feel it was an interesting and useful experience. We are satisfied with the seemingly flawless success of the project and hope that we can continue our cooperation.
