Final project report

From 3rd of May unitl 31st of May 2016 the team of the Associazione Art. Cult. “A Rocca” and Eprojectconsult International department, in cooperation with Fundacja “Rozwój i Edukacja” took the role of intermediary partner for group of people from Myślibórz, Poland in the frame of Erasmus+ programme. During the project named „Nauka nie zna granic – wsparcie zawodowe uczniów szkół zawodowych z obszarów wiejskich i miejsko-wiejskich województwa zachodniopomorskiego i lubuskiego” we hosted 9 selected participants and 1 accompanying person. The internship were in the field of the hospitality, thereby they gained experience in their field of studies and became acquainted with the traditional Italian and Sicilian way of labour.

Cultural Programme

In the free time they had chance to visit some beautiful places in Sicily, including Messina, Etna, Catania, Jalari Park Museum and know Italian cuisine thanks to the local restaurants. We hope that their experience of living abroad was unforgettable and enriching in the cultural way.

General Skills and Competencies Acquired:

  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources in the field related;
  • Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships: learning on developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others;
  • Development of specialized Italian language skills;
  • Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;
  • Developing social perspectives and being aware of reactions of other co-workers and supervisors;
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made.

Gained experience in hospitality services in the hotel, including:

  • Hotel services, including front-of-house (reception, concierge, reservations);
  • Food and beverage operations, and housekeeping;
  • Planning and organising arrivals, accommodation, catering and other hotel services;
  • Sending Quotes;
  • Meeting and greeting customers;
  • Dealing with customer complaints and comments;
  • Addressing problems and troubleshooting.

At the end of the project, participants received “A Rocca” placement certificate” and EUROPASS.
Most importantly the participants gained professional experience in their sector, so that they will be more competitive in the labor market in Poland.

Consequently, the participants seemed to be satisfied with this project, and from their evaluations it is clear that they feel it was an interesting and useful experience. We are satisfied with the seemingly flawless success of the project and hope that we can continue our cooperation with Fundacja “Rozwój i Edukacja”.
