Leonardo da Vinci Mobility Program: EUproIntern IV

The team of the Associazione Art. Cult. “A Rocca” and EProjectConsult International department, in cooperation with Fairbund took the role of intermediary partner for group of 4 people from Leipzig, Germany in the frame of Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci during the project EUproIntern IV (18th of May – 10th of August 2014).
Participants came here to Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto for 12 weeks to improve their professional skills.
Cultural Programme
To get better understanding about the Sicilian culture and gain knowledge apart from their professional fields, the participants had a 40 hour Italian pedagogical, linguistic and cultural training.
During the 12 weeks of their stay here, they enjoyed the possibility to travel around Sicily in their free time from training. Project participants visited marvellous places like Palermo, Catania, Chefalu, Taormina, Messina, Milazzo and others.
Internship
- IRENA DUDOVA: EProjectConsult (address: Via TCP Arcodaci 48, Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Italia) had a training in the field of EU project management.
- FRIEDERIKE CHRISTOPH: Studio Luce di Santino Trifilò (address: Via del Mare 1, Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME), Italy).
- NATHALIE KNAB: Associazione I Girasoli onlus (address: Piazza Stazione 25, via Immacolata 78, 98051 Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME), Italy). She gained experience in the work with refugees during the project "SPRAR- Barcellona P.G." (System of protection for refugees and asylum seekers).
- ANJA SCHUMANN: Marius il Ristorante (address: Via Paolo Arcodaci, 20, 98051 Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, Sicily, Italy). She gained experience in the cooking of traditional Sicilian dishes at popular local restaurant.
General Skills and Competencies Acquired:
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources in the field related;
- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships: learning on developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others;
- Development of specialized Italian language skills;
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;
- Developing social perspectives and being aware of reactions of other co-workers and supervisors;
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made.
We are very satisfied with the performance of the participants of the group and hope that this training experience will be good stepping stone for their future carrier.
