In short, REMEDY aims to emphasize the importance of remembering the past, commemorating the totalitarian regime victims and appreciating the present. The diverse EU communities involved will share their history of totalitarian regimes and resistance in the fight for their rights. The project involves EU citizens of older and younger generation that will enrich each other’s knowledge of past events.
The audience is made of not only youth or older generation, who experienced totalitarian regime, but also immigrants escaping war conditions in their countries. Thus, the project aims to draw lessons of the past that are relevant today for the reason of intercultural dialogue, which reminds us how cooperation is crucial for peace and democracy.
In order to reach a wide audience, 10 national workshops will be organized in partners’ countries where 8 selected experts at the European level will be present.
As a final result, a documentary video with the objectives achieved throughout the project will be built and serve as dissemination.
