The team of the Associazione Art. Cult. A Rocca and EProjectConsult International department, in cooperation with Instituto de Fomento, Empleo y Formación del Ayuntamiento de Cádiz took the role of intermediary partner for group of people from Cadiz, Spain in the frame of Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci. During the project named Cadiz Movilidad we hosted 7 selected participants. The internships were in multidisciplinary fields, according to the profile of participants, thereby they gained experience in their field of studies and become acquainted with the traditional Italian and Sicilian methods.

Preparation of the mobility project
In order to make the cooperation between both organizations effective, guarantee the best quality project and to satisfy the participant’s expectations and needs, we have designed the program of the project together. We have exchanged e-mails in order to discuss the aims of the project, to develop the plan of activities and to clarify any doubts.
Arrival of the participants
The group of participants arrived March 3rd at the airport of Catania. The A Rocca organization provided the transfer from the train station of Barcellona P.G. to their accommodation in the city centre.
The next day they had an informative welcome meeting, designed to give the participants useful information they require during their stay in Sicily. Firstly, they had the introduction to the program in general. The tutor informed the trainees about the organization and described the work activities, obligations and tasks they will be involved in during the project. Next, they were provided with the plan of the city and were acquainted with all the hospitalities of Barcellona P.G. and nearest cities.
The next informative session was dedicated to the cultural aspects of their life in Sicily: the work style in Italy, rules to follow, behaviour and other cultural information was given to the participants. The “Help me” card with useful numbers and phrases in Italian as well as a leaflet with all the useful information they may need (address, rules, tips, etc) during their stay were distributed.
Accommodation of the participants
Participants were accommodated in 2 different flats in Barcellona Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto. Barcellona P.G is located on the north coast of Sicily. It belongs to the Province of Messina. The city proper has a population of over 40,000 inhabitants. The strategic location is surrounded by many wonderful cities: Messina 45 km; Palermo 180 km; Catania 180 km; Taormina 80 km; Agrigento 200 km; Aeolian Islands 20 km. Barcellona P.G. is a very nice town, located very close to the seaside, very busy during the day and very calm during the night time. Moreover, there are many interesting places to visit, such as natural parks, museums, ancient villages and Greek/Roman historical areas.
The two flats for participants were fully equipped (including kitchenware, washing machine, bed covers etc.) and well located in the city centre. The participants were living in the following locations: 4 people, in Via Arcodaci 44 – 5th flour and 3 people in Via Trento 48 – 2nd flour. Participants were placed in individual and double rooms.
Placement Details
The subject of the placement for participants was in multidisciplinary sectors. The interns had the opportunity to learn skills needed for a future professional career in this field. The placements were located in 6 relative enterprises in the town of Barcellona P.G. such as architecture office, euro consultant office, working social centre, hotel, museum-park and graphic design office.
Cultural Programme
In the free time they had chance to visit some beautiful places in Sicily, and know Italian cuisine thanks to the local restaurants.

Architect office of Bodar Bottega Di Archittetura offered the internship in the field of architecture.

Ditta A Rocca – EProjectConsult International department
EProjectConsult is a professional organization that deals with education, training and European culture. EProjectConsult is specialized in the preparation and in the implementation of national and international projects. They work as a hosting partner and participant for EU programmes including Leonardo Da Vinci Mobility and Youth In Action. They create and organize European projects that are approved and funded by the European Union.
The participant who worked in EProjectConsult office was involved in marketing and graphic-design sectors. Moreover, she was assisting in the implementation of the various projects.

Asociación Etnográfica Ambiental Jalari
Associazione Culturale Etnografica Ambientale Jalari is the professional organization, which promotes the local culture. Jalari organises annual events like the film festival Jalari in Corto, an annual gathering of Artistic Expression atmospheres … Music … Art in the street (EspressivaMente) and many other concerts, fairs and exhibitions.
Jalari Cultural Association offered the training experience focusing on social and entertaining activities with foreign people, mainly immigrants. Methodologies focused on facilitating their daily life and their integration in the society.
The participant ROCÍO DOMÍNGUEZ SÁNCHEZ gained experience in:
Assisting the secretary in order to welcome groups and to provide general information at the front office of the park museum Jalari;
Tourism and contact with tour operators;
Translation of the website;

ALEJANDRO PÁEZ BENÍTEZ: Cassisi Hotel (address: Via G. Cassisi, 5 98057 Milazzo Messina, Italy), working hours per day: 8, from Monday to Friday, 09:30-17:30
Cassisi Hotel is located in the center of Milazzo, just a few steps from the port of Milazzo. It is a hight class (four star) hotel with the simple elegance, the central location and the convenience of proximity to the commercial port and the tourist port. The rooms of the Hotel Cassisi Milazzo are furnished with great attention to detail and are fully equipped. The hotel offers accomodation in furnished and fully equipped rooms, conference and meeting premises, and other necessary services for their customers.
The offered internship was with the focus on the extensive understanding of the hospitality services in the hotel. The participant had a possibility to see and participate in day-to-day management of a hotel different hotel management processes starting from the room service ending with the reception welcoming.
The participant ALEJANDRO PÁEZ BENÍTEZ gained experience in:
Hotel services, including front-of-house (reception, concierge, reservations);
Food and beverage operations, and housekeeping;
Planning and organising accommodation, catering and other hotel services;
Meeting and greeting customers;
Dealing with customer complaints and comments;
- Addressing problems and troubleshooting.
DANIEL PEDREÑO CASAS: Studio Luce di Santino Trifilò (address: Via del Mare 1, 98051 Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (ME), Italy), working hours per day: 8, from Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.

Santino Trifilò is a professional photographer working with various graphics programs for page layout albums and promotional material advertising. He deals with creation and editing of videos. Students were engaged in the creation of the new logos.
The participant DANIEL PEDREÑO CASAS gained experience in:
Advertising and marketing activities;
Office’s activities, back office activities;
Team working and individual working.
MARIA JOSÉ SACALUGA CORNEJO: Secur Protect SRL (Via S. Andrea, 161. Barcellona Pozzo Di Gotto, Italy), working hours per day: 8, from Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.

The company offers since a lot of years a high quality experience in the field of protection and safety at work providing a wide range of products that fully meet all the needs of the client company.
The staff thanks to a consolidated preparation, with seriousness and commitment, assists clients in the selection of equipment and products that solve a wide range of issues involved in a variety of work situations, offering products and systems to prevent and protect against individual risks and collective. The innovation is generated through constant market analysis and a careful examination of the guidelines. All products are processed in accordance with current regulations.
The participant MARIA JOSÉ SACALUGA CORNEJO gained experience in:
- Job management database of customers and domestic consumers;
- Assistance in the commercial sector of the company;
- Management Tasks;
- Individual work and equipment in accordance with the tasks assigned each week.




The evaluation of the project is excellent. Employees of the A Rocca Association and persons involved in this project hope it was an rich and useful experience for all the participants. The monitoring team did its best in order to satisfy the expectations of each participant and to ensure the communication with the sending organization at each stage of the project. In order to reach this, there were two days of evaluation – one after the first week and the other at the final days.
Participants had chance to see the way of working in Sicily. Certainly, they had an opportunity to get to know a lot of useful information about the functioning of Sicilian enterprises, in multidisciplinary fields, according to their profile. Those participants who had a previous experience in their field could also compare all the similarities and differences of these related enterprises in Sicily and Spain. All participants gained worthy experience in working in team, cooperation with colleagues and individual work according to the individual skills of the each candidate.
At the end of the project, participants received A Rocca placement certificate and EUROPASS.
Most importantly the participants gained professionally experience in their sector, so that they will be more competitive in the labour market in Spain.
Conclusion
Our monitoring team did its best in order to satisfy the expectations of each participant. We were always ready to offer help, advices and solve any doubts with our guaranteed 24-hour availability; in any case they needed some assistance.
Consequently, the participants seemed to be satisfied with this project. According to their opinion, it was an interesting and useful experience. We hope they found inspiration and got new ideas about how to deal with their future career in their country. We are satisfied because due to their participation in the programme, the participants have enriched their professional experiences.
Moreover, participants had opportunity to explore new horizons by fully integrating in Sicilian culture and meeting many new friends from Italy and from the other parts of world. In addition, all the group of participants have become good friends, and can still meeting each other and exchange their experiences after the project.
Our team is very satisfied with the participant’s involvement in the project and personal interest of each person involved. We hope we can continue our cooperation with Instituto de Fomento, Empleo y Formación del Ayuntamiento de Cádiz.
