LivAI Unveils Handbook on Ethics in Data and AI Tools

LivAI, an Erasmus+ project focused on advancing understanding and ethical practices within the realm of data and artificial intelligence, has launched a groundbreaking handbook titled “Understanding Ethics in Data and AI Tools.” This handbook marks the initial outcome of the LivAI project, offering a comprehensive analysis of the ethical dimensions inherent in new digital technologies and innovative AI educational tools.

Developed in collaboration with experts from leading institutions such as Universitat Jaume I, Konnektable Technologies Ltd., EFCoCert Foundation, EProjectConsult and UBITECH, this handbook is a culmination of insights and expertise from diverse perspectives.

The handbook is structured into four illuminating chapters:

Chapter 1: Defining AI – Unveiling the World of Artificial Intelligence Chapter 2: Big Data and Ethics – Navigating the Ethical Landscape of Data-driven Technologies Chapter 3: Practical Applicability to Adult Education – Ethical Considerations for Implementing AI in Learning Environments Chapter 4: Ethical System Frameworks and Open Source Platforms – Building Transparent and Accountable AI Tools

The LivAI project, funded under the Erasmus+ Cooperation partnership in the field of Adult Education, has two primary objectives. Firstly, it aims to promote the creation of educational resources such as this manual, aiding in understanding ethics within the realm of data and artificial intelligence. Secondly, it strives to implement an e-learning platform that enables the validation and certification of acquired competences. LivAI caters to adults, particularly educators, educational institutions, and adult learners.
