Project Description:


The LIVAI project, funded under the ERASMUS+ Programme, Strategic Partnerships (Key Action 2), with project number 2022-1-ES01-KA220-ADU 000087381, is committed to revitalizing adult education through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ethical data management. Our project aims to bridge the gap in adult education by providing both knowledge and skills, along with a certification framework to standardize and enhance the quality assurance of competences acquired in adult education. We are developing a digital platform that facilitates monitoring and evaluation, including an award certification scheme, for three main target groups: adult educators, adult education institutions, and adult learners.

Key Features of the Project:

Digital Transformation: The project offers practical guidance for the digital transformation of adult learning centers, ensuring they meet high-quality digital learning standards.

Certification Mechanism: A certification mechanism to maintain high-quality standards in the digital era will be developed.

Ethical AI and Big Data: A significant innovation of this project is its emphasis on ethical AI and Big Data management in adult education. We have conducted extensive research to address gaps in AI and data ethics resources
that are specifically tailored to adult educators and learners.

Human-Centric Approach: Our project aligns with the EU’s guidelines for a ‘human-centric’ approach to AI, prioritizing European values and principles, including privacy and data protection. Innovative Digitalization: We focus on innovative digitalization in adult education, aiming to enhance understanding of technology and its ethical
implications. Our project ensures that technology is applied within ISO quality frameworks and meets EU education standards.

EU Commission Recognition: The EU Commission’s Digital Education Action Plan recognizes the importance of AI and analytics (Action 10) and the development of digital competences in education. Our project aligns with these
actions.

Ethics in AI: Ethical considerations in AI are at the forefront of our project, as we seek to address the risks associated with AI development and advocate for full control over personal data.

Open Educational Resources (OER): We create OERs to provide and validate competences in the field of data and AI, promoting ethical data use in education at all levels.

Project Objectives:

To enhance institutional commitment to the implementation of EU guidelines on ethics in artificial intelligence.
To develop Open Educational Resources (OER) for the validation of competences in data and AI.
To advocate for and promote ethical data use in education across all levels.
