Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci Mobility

Associazione Art. Cult. A Rocca and EProjectConsult International department welcomed a group from Złotoryja in Poland. The group from Zespół Szkół Zawodowych im. mjra Henryka Sucharskiego w Złotoryi came to wonderful Sicily to improve their professional experience and get to know other cultures.
The Polish group from Złotoryi were here from 8th European Union provided possibilities for the mobility projects under the frame of the Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci Mobility during the project Analiza ekonomiczna i wsparcie informatyczne gwarancją sukcesu ofert turystycznych europejskich hoteli (Economical Analysis and IT Support as a Guarantee of the Success of Touristic Offers of European Hotels).
We welcomed 18 youngsters who did their internships in the fields of economic, hospitality and information and communications technology.
Cultural Programme
Between the active training and learning graphic there were planned excursions in order to get to know other parts of Sicily and to have some fun during the free time. Participants were taken to Palermo, Cefalù, Milazzo, Taormina, Etna, Catania and Messina. During the excursions they were introduced with the places and provided with the free time in order to be able to see the most interesting places for them.
Internship

- Hotel Cassisi: Via Cassisi 5, 98057 Milazzo (Messina);
- Hotel La Bussola, Via Bixio 10/11/12, 98057 Milazzo (Messina).
The internships were a great career step for youngsters as a chance for the companies to have fresh ideas from abroad and a useful gain for the whole city and its guests because a web page for Barcellona P.G. was developed and translated by the trainees of information and communication technology.
Alongside with the internship participants received 30 hours of Italian pedagogical, linguistic and cultural training courses. After finishing this course they were provided with the certificates as approval for completing this course.

General Skills and Competencies Acquired:
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources in the field related;
- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships: learning on developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others;
- Development of specialized Italian language skills;
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;
- Developing social perspectives and being aware of reactions of other co-workers and supervisors;
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made.

Our team hopes that this mobility project improved the practical knowledge of the participants and will help them with the future carrier development. We expect that the time spent here and experienced daily life abroad and introduction with the functioning of Sicilian organizations will raise their intercultural awareness, give some inspiration for the direction of their professional life and encourage for participation in more mobility projects to see other countries and raise their network.
According to the evaluations, filled by all the involved actors in the project, we can conclude that the project was well organized, successfully and the aims are reached. We really hope to continue the cooperation with Zespół Szkół Zawodowych im. mjra Henryka Sucharskiego w Złotoryi in the future projects!
