Erasmus+ Mobility in Sicily: How EProjectConsult Supports International Learning Experiences
At EProjectConsult, every Erasmus+ mobility is designed to combine professional growth, cultural discovery, and meaningful human connections. Through carefully selected hosting organisations, personalised support, and immersive local experiences, we help students and teachers turn their mobility into a valuable learning journey.
Over the past months, we have had the pleasure of welcoming participants from Estonia and Spain to Sicily, offering them the opportunity to develop practical skills, gain international experience, and discover authentic Sicilian culture.
Nature Guiding Experience: Students from Estonia Explore Sicily
This spring, we welcomed two students from Estonia specialising in nature guiding and outdoor education. Their arrival follows the successful completion of a previous mobility programme, during which other Estonian trainees collaborated with Jalari Park and A Rocca in the organisation of educational excursions for school groups, Erasmus+ teachers, and young participants.
During their mobility in Sicily, the students are involved in real working environments where they actively support excursion activities and nature-based educational experiences. Guided by experienced professionals and local teams, they are developing practical competences in group management, communication, and environmental interpretation.
The mobility programme combines observation, hands-on practice, and increasing levels of responsibility. Thanks to this approach, previous participants were eventually able to independently lead excursions in several locations visited during the programme.
Beyond the professional aspect, the experience also allows students to improve their adaptability, intercultural communication, and confidence while living abroad. Both participants and accompanying groups expressed great satisfaction with the activities carried out throughout the mobility.
We are proud to support their professional and personal growth and look forward to welcoming new groups from Estonia in the coming months.
From Valencia to Sicily: Professional Training and Cultural Discovery
In recent months, EProjectConsult has also hosted students from Valencia, one of our long-term consortium partners in Spain. The participants come from a wide variety of educational and professional backgrounds, including mechanics, administration, hospitality, marketing, tourism, sound engineering, gastronomy, and sports.
Each mobility programme is tailored to the students’ vocational profile and learning objectives, allowing participants to gain practical experience in local companies and organisations connected to their field of study.
In addition to workplace learning, students are encouraged to fully experience Sicilian culture and daily life. Cultural visits and educational excursions to iconic destinations such as Mount Etna, Taormina, Palermo, and Cefalù are integrated into the programme to enrich their international experience and foster social inclusion.
We are also currently planning specialised training courses for teachers from Valencia, focusing on areas such as administration, marketing, and graphic design, further strengthening the long-term collaboration between our organisations.
By the end of their stay, participants return home not only with improved professional competences, but also with greater independence, intercultural awareness, and unforgettable memories from their time in Sicily.
Hosting Spanish Students in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto and Milazzo
From February to May, EProjectConsult is also coordinating the mobility of students from Seville in the towns of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto and Milazzo.
The group of thirteen Spanish students has been placed in local companies and laboratories specialising in Chemical Analysis, Welding, and Electromechanical Maintenance, where they can directly apply the knowledge acquired during their studies in an international working context.
As part of our welcoming activities, the students were introduced to Sicilian traditions with a typical granita tasting — a simple yet authentic way to begin their Erasmus+ journey and feel immediately connected to the local culture.
Throughout the mobility, our team provides continuous support to both students and sending organisations, assisting participants with logistics, cultural integration, workplace communication, and day-to-day guidance. Our goal is to ensure a safe, enriching, and well-organised experience that allows every participant to make the most of their time abroad.
A Mobility Experience Designed Around Learning and Support
At EProjectConsult, we believe that successful Erasmus+ mobilities are built on strong partnerships, personalised support, and meaningful learning opportunities.
By working closely with sending organisations, schools, and local hosting companies, we aim to create experiences that help participants grow professionally and personally while discovering the richness of Sicilian culture and community life.
We look forward to welcoming many more students, teachers, and partners to Sicily in the coming months.
