Erasmus+ Internship
Hotel sector
The team of the Associazione Art. Cult. “A Rocca” and EProjectConsult International department hosted a group from Szekszárd, Hungary in the frame of Erasmus+ programme. We hosted 14 selected participants and 2 accompanying teachers during the project named “Hotel communication in focus”. The internship was in the field of hotel, thereby they gained experience in their field of studies and become acquainted with the traditional Italian and Sicilian way of labour. The students got hands-on experience performing some duties related to the hotel industry by filling different position in several departments during the stay.
Cultural Programme
In the free time they had chance to visit some beautiful places in Sicily, including Etna Volcano & Taormina, Palermo & Cefalù and Syracusa & Noto. Also, they had the opportunity to perform a cooking course in a local restaurant and discover the Italian cuisine. We hope that their experience of living abroad was unforgettable and enriching in the cultural way.

General Skills and Competencies Acquired:
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources in the field related;
- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships: learning on developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others;
- Development of specialized Italian language skills;
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;
- Developing social perspectives and being aware of reactions of other co-workers and supervisors;
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made.
At the end of the project, participants received “A Rocca” placement certificate” and EUROPASS.
Most importantly the participants gained professional experience in their sector, so that they will be more competitive in the labor market in Hungary.
Consequently, the participants seemed to be satisfied with this project, and from their evaluations it is clear that they feel it was an interesting and useful experience. We are satisfied with the seemingly flawless success of the project and hope that we can continue our cooperation with.
