Fine Arts sector

From the 3rd to 9th of June 2015, “Training course in Fine Arts” project was implemented. EProjectConsult hosted three (3) teaching staff in the framework of the Erasmus+, Mobility project for School education staff in cooperation with “Établissement régional d’ enseignement adapté (EREA)”, France. The subject of the training course for participants was Fine Arts.

During the course, combination of seminars and active participation (making works of art by participants and discussions) carried out. Active learning technique applied in order to improve the knowledge of all involved actors and to avoid that participants are only involved like passive listeners. Participants introduced with the various types of art, specific to Sicilian culture, and were able to make the work of arts (various techniques according to their field of interests).

Cultural Programme

In the free time they had chance to visit some beautiful places in Sicily, and know Italian cuisine thanks to the local restaurants.

General Skills and Competencies Acquired:

  • Introduction with local Sicilian art and artists;
  • Development personal works of art in various styles;
  • Get acquainted with the local architecture;
  • Share experience through discussions with a professionals in a school of arts;
  • Improve the skills and competencies of participants in the teaching sector;
  • Improve the quality of, and access to, continuing training and the lifelong acquisition of skills and competencies with a view to developing adaptability

  • Acquisition of knowledge and experiences, exchange of ideas, and knowhow for good practices in teaching approaches, supporting structures for students and co-operation with local enterprises and businesses;
  • Promote and reinforce the contribution of training in the process of innovation related to teaching methodologies on Fine Arts.

In conclusion, participants had the opportunity to explore new horizons by fully integrating in Sicilian culture and meeting many new friends from Italy and from the other parts of world, as well as to build partnerships with local schools. However, more importantly, participants gained professional experience in their sector that will help them to become more efficient in their job.

After the project was finished, participants received “A Rocca mobility certificate”. Employees of the “A Rocca” Association and people involved in this project hope that it was a rich and useful experience for everybody.
