
Erasmus+ Job Shadowing

What happened? Job Shadowing for selected teachers in the frame of Erasmus+ programme.
Who was there? 10 participants from Warsaw, Poland
When and where? During the period of 27/01/2019 – 03/02/2019 in Catania.
Who organised? “A Rocca” NGO and its international department, EProjectConsult.
The name of the project? “Praktyczna edukacja”.
The results? The participants gained experience in their field of studies and become acquainted with the traditional Italian and Sicilian way of teaching. At the end of the project, participants received “A Rocca” placement certificate”, School certificate and EUROPASS.
Cultural Programme
In the free time they had chance to visit some beautiful places in Sicily, including Mount Etna & Taormina, Syracuse, Acicastello, Acitrezza and Acireale and know Italian cuisine thanks to the local restaurants. We hope that their experience of living abroad was unforgettable and enriching in the cultural way.

The internship locations were in the town of Catania.

General Skills and Competencies Acquired:
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources in the field related.
- Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships: learning on developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others;
- Development of specialized Italian language skills;
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;
- Developing social perspectives and being aware of reactions of other co-workers and supervisors;
- Giving full attention to what other people are saying and taking the time to understand the points being made.
Consequently, the participants seemed to be satisfied with this project, and from their evaluations it is clear that they feel it was an interesting and useful experience. We are satisfied with the seemingly flawless success of the project and hope that we can continue our cooperation with.
