Agata Jewasińska’s experience as a Polish intern and then as an employee at EProjectConsult

Ciao! My name is Agata and I spent 8 months in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto working as a Polish intern and then as an employee. It was my second Sicilian experience (I had lived in Catania for 1 year), so I already knew what to expect. As an intern I was responsible for contacting the Polish partners that were already collaborating with us, finding new partners and assisting in writing application forms for new call of proposal.

When I stared working as an employee I got new tasks, such as being a tutor of the coming Polish groups, guide them during the trips all around Sicily and I also became an EProjectConsult representative during the project implementation. I enjoyed my work a lot, because I love to work with people! I met many of them coming from all around the world. I lived with incredible Slovak, French, Belgian and Spanish friends. I worked at the office with Italian, Lithuanian, Greek, Japanese and Ghanian colleagues. I got a chance to visit stunning places including Taormina, Savoca, Milazzo, Eolian Islands, Etna Volcano.

While working with the projects, I learned what the Erasmus+ is really about and how the projects are implemented by foreign partners. I have learned to deal with big groups of people and make them content, how to negotiate and overcome difficulties together. I also learned to be responsible and a reliable group leader.

Finally, I tested myslef and I got another chance after Eramsus student mobility to live on my own. So, summing up, what can you expect from the internship?

-You will get some valuable work experience that will be a good start for your future career
-You will gain new skills and improve old ones working at the office
-You will see what the project implementation looks like and how much work needs to be done to be sure that project will suceed, you will test yourself as a project manager assistant
-You will visit paradise a couple of times
-You will taste real, typical Sicilian cousine
-You will learn how to deal with and learn to accept totally different cultures
-You will have a chance to practice your English in the office and Italian outside

And finally you will meet amazing people who will open your mind, change points of view, and give you unforgettable memories!
I would like to thank YOU all of my friends that I have met during this Sicilian journey. It was a real pleasure to meet you and be part of EProjectConsult Family!
